DR ROSE AZUIKE
Helping You See Clearly and Live Purposefully in a Visually Distracting World
Dr Rose Azuike is an Optometrist, Public Health Professional and the Founder and Managing Director of Kesona Eye Centre in Surulere, Lagos.
As an eye practitioner, she provides primary eye care services to adults, with particular interest in eye discomfort associated with digital screen use, age-related eye changes, and vision needs in midlife. She is passionate about helping people understand their eyes, make informed choices about their eye health and take an active role in caring for their vision.
Beyond clinical eye care, Dr Rose is passionate about helping people understand and use the gift of sight wisely. Through Sightful Living, she brings together eye health, visual wellness, digital intentionality, faith and purpose to encourage people to see clearly and live purposefully in a visually distracting world.
Her work is grounded in the belief that caring for the eyes is only part of what it means to care for the gift of sight. She encourages people to pay attention to what they look at, how they engage with their visual environment and how what they see influences the way they think, respond and live.
Through her clinical practice, teaching, writing and public engagement, Dr Rose seeks to make eye health and purposeful living practical, relevant and accessible, helping people make better choices for their eyes, their well-being and their lives.
Her Philosophy
Sight is a Gift from God
Sight is a gift from God, and every gift comes with a responsibility. Understanding sight as a gift means recognizing both its value and our responsibility to care for it and use it well.
Eye Care Begins With Stewardship
Caring for our sight begins with stewardship. This means taking responsibility for our eye health, paying attention to our visual needs and making choices that protect and preserve our vision. Good eye care is not only about seeking treatment when something goes wrong, but also about taking an active role in maintaining healthy sight.
Use the Gift of Sight Wisely
In a world where our eyes are constantly exposed to screens, images, information and visual distractions, we need to be intentional about what we look at and how we use our sight. Using the gift of sight wisely means making conscious choices about what receives our visual attention and how we engage with our visual environment.
Clarity Can Go Beyond the Visible.
Seeing clearly is not always limited to what the physical eyes can see. Not everything is as it appears on the surface. Clarity can involve looking beyond appearances, developing discernment and recognizing that there may be more to people, situations and circumstances than what is immediately visible.
See Clearly. Live Purposefully.
The goal is not simply to have healthy eyes or clear eyesight. It is to use the gift of sight wisely so that we can see clearly, make intentional choices and live with clarity and purpose.
This philosophy is grounded in the belief that God is the creator and giver of sight, and that we are called to care for His gifts and live according to His wisdom and purposes.
